The London Youth Games
Southwark Council commissioned Chocolate Films to produce a video to assist them with the recruitment of local 7-18-year-olds for the London Youth Games. The games are Europe’s largest youth sport festival, involving 33 different sports and over 50 competitions. The film captured all the fun and excitement of the events and showed viewers how to register.
Capturing the Excitement
We filmed footage of all the events over a period of several weeks, taking in all the different activities. Where necessary, we mounted cameras on BMXs and filmed underwater. Simple catchy graphics, bold typography and uplifting music meant the message was clear that the games were fun and upbeat. The film was cut to a classic poem, read by one of the children.
