Going Postal
Following an initial brief from the Postal Museum, we won the pitch to make a film and come up with the creative treatment for the journey of a letter. We told the story from the moment a birthday card was written by a little girl through to when it reached her grandma. To make it more visually appealing to families and ensure the letter stood out, we used a yellow envelope and a little animated balloon.
Stamp of Approval
The client came up with the script and we used an autocue. We also used a number of devices including a gimbal to get tracking shots. Because we were filming people at work in one of the country’s busiest sorting offices, it was one of those shoots where there was no time for a second take. The crew also had to be mindful of security and data protection, so no addresses were revealed. The film has had around 45,000 views on YouTube alone.
