About The Postal Museum

In 2017 a new museum opened in London to reveal the story of Britain’s postal heritage. It boasts countless artefacts from the history of the postal service, a ride on the 100-year-old Mail Rail, intriguing temporary exhibitions and more. All this is presented in an engaging, interactive, educational and fun way – including video.

Letters Tell A Story

Chocolate Films won the pitch to produce video content for the brand new museum. For ‘Writing Home’ we researched people with a special connection to the post. The result is a video with oral histories from soldiers at war, an honest man in exile, a survivor of human trafficking and a nurse chasing a dream. A second film explores the journey of a letter from post box to recipient.
