Global Goes Local

Tara Arts in Wandsworth stages global plays in a local venue. Eastern Star retraces the origins of the 1988 revolution in Burma and details how those events forged and destroyed the bond between BBC journalist Christopher Gunness and U Nay Min, the architect of the uprising. We made a series of three trailers. One was an interview with the director, another featured the actors and the other used text to drive the narrative.

Doing More with Less

Tara Arts is located close to Chocolate HQ and we wanted to find a way to support it, while working within their limited budget. We asked the theatre if they had any archive material and Gunness supplied his own footage for the trailer. Eastern Star was turned into a radio play and this marked the start of a flourishing relationship between us and Tara Arts. A really good example of Chocolate being able to do more with less.
