Making a Social Impact
The Dragon Awards celebrate businesses and public offices that go above and beyond their core work to significantly impact the regeneration of their local communities. 2018 was the first time Chocolate Films worked with the Lord Mayor’s office after winning a tender that went out to a handful of production companies. We produced all of the award films that were broadcast on the night. We had to work under strict secrecy, so as not to reveal who had won before the event.
And the winner is…
We felt it was important that the films should not feel too corporate. So, we spoke to nominees in advance of filming to draw out the best stories and create visuals to support those stories rather than simply having somebody being interviewed in a boardroom. The films were also designed to help encourage more businesses to enter for the awards in future years. We’re shooting this again in 2019!
