Temperature’s Rising
Climate change is affecting our ocean temperatures, particularly where the Indian Ocean meets the Atlantic Ocean. Ultimately this will affect everywhere, as all the waters and currents are connected. Isabelle Ansorge, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Oceanography at the University of Cape Town, explains how the rising temperatures are being monitored.

The Royal Society commissioned Chocolate Films to make a series of short films to discuss a number of environmental issues. We flew a three-person crew to Singapore to film a conference featuring experts in various subjects. The footage was green-screened, and (in this case) graphics and stock footage of places such as South Georgia and Aberdeen were added to illustrate the effects of oceanic climate change.
