Greenpeace is a worldwide non-governmental organisation based in over 39 countries across the world and striving to use non-violent, creative confrontation to expose global environmental problems and their causes. Their main goal is to “ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity”.
Greenpeace commissioned Chocolate Films to produce a campaign film about the transport industry and the impact it has on the global climate to feature on their YouTube channel and with a call to action to sign a petition.
This film exposes the car industry’s destructive contribution to the climate emergency and failure to reduce emissions from vehicles they create. The video was created as a piece-to-camera against a green screen, with relevant stock visuals of the transport industry and animation composited behind the narrator. The film ends on a positive note, encouraging people to sign Greenpeace’s open letter to tell the car industry to clean up its act.
