BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, reaching 3.4 million children across the UK with books annually. They work with schools and libraries alike to involve the whole family in getting children reading, with a strong focus on the early years.

Good Neighbours

The Chocolate Films and BookTrust HQ are neighbouring offices at Battersea Studios, south London, which is how we started producing their films. Over the past three years we have produced a huge range of films for BookTrust such as for their Time to Read campaign featuring Nadiya Hussain and Dermot O’Leary, Bookstart Storytimes read by Ore Oduba and films to promote The Letterbox Club.

Campaigns to Champion Reading

Every year for National Bookstart Week, BookTrust selects a title that will go into every reception classroom in the country and that children will be encouraged to take home. The campaign aims to help parents make the experience of reading to their child more fun. To increase exposure for the campaign, former Strictly Come Dancing champion and TV presenter Ore Oduba starred in this special reading of A Busy Day for Birds.
