A Hippo on the Thames
In 2014, Chocolate Films headed down to the South Bank, London to capture the construction of HippopoThames, a wooden art installation by Florentijn Hofman. It was created to float on the River Thames as part of Totally Thames, Thames Festival Trust’s annual creative celebration of the River Thames.
Behind the scenes of a unique production
Renowned Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman was commissioned by Totally Thames and created this striking new sculpture to be set in the River Thames at Nine Elms on the South Bank. Hofman is known for his playful urban installations in the shape of animals, including his massive Rubber Duck. HippopoThames was no different and attracted public attention from all around the world.
