The Horniman Museum and Gardens are a mesmerizing spot in south London. In the summer of 2018, they opened a new World Gallery. This permanent exhibition celebrates human creativity, imagination and adaptability with over 3,000 objects from the Horniman’s internationally important anthropology collection.
Bringing The Audience Into The Museum
When entering the gallery, what greets you is a 10-minute film where people talk about objects that mean a lot to them, ranging from precious books to a poop emoji pillow. We produced this project with the members of the local community who you see in the video. This way, the museum truly brings their audience’s stories to life.
