About the RAD
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is one of the world’s most influential dance education organisations. From its headquarters in London, it runs a global network of dance teachers trainers, employees and members.
The Impact Of Dance
The RAD believes that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to dance. With RADiate, it provides subsidised dance classes to children with special educational needs and disabilities. Chocolate Films produced six videos about the programme, filming with school children in south London and RAD President Dame Darcey Bussel and Ambassador Michael Nunn OBE to show its impact.
RADiate
Mindful of RAD board members’ differing visions for the film, we created five individual documentaries for social media including Facebook, four around a minute long, and one main 15-minute film. The films were shot in a couple of months across different schools; some mainstream; some SEND, as we wanted to highlight the project’s diversity. RAD is delighted with videos, the full film received 16,000 views in one month on Facebook.
