Shopping in the Future
The London College of Fashion at University of the Arts London worked with the Fashion District to set up an initiative in Tower Hamlets schools for children aged 8–15 to imagine what the shops of the future would look like. Using ever-emerging technology, which some children may already use, they wanted pupils to register with the website, take part in the project and introduce their ideas.
How tech is changing shopping
Filmed over a few months, the shoot included interviews with three different people talking about the ways technology works in their area of the fashion business. It included information on how to find out how and where clothes are made, revealed instore technology is changing and how apps using AI could become your personal stylist. This was mixed with graphics and shots of shops, and scripted to help teachers explain the whole competition to their pupils.
