Bob a Job
Back in 1949, the Scout Association ran a campaign called ‘Bob A Job’ and raised the equivalent of £924,000… in one day. The money was used to send scout leaders to help refugees in northern Europe. This film shows the scouts teaming up with Empathy Lab to use pictures, documents and objects from the scouts heritage collection as a ‘show and tell’ for primary school children. The children produced creative and illustrative responses to that presentation.
Be Prepared
This was the first time we worked with the Scouts. The film achieved its objective in showing how children think about refugees in an empathetic way, and also revealing how the importance of the Scout Association goes way beyond earning activity badges.
