The Sony World Photography Awards is one of the world’s biggest photography competitions, attracting thousands of applicants from across the globe each year. This documentary, presented by British Art Historian, Jacky Klien and Comedian Nish Kumar, celebrates the nominees and winners in each of the different categories of these prestigious awards.

‘A year in photos’ was an international Chocolate Films production, co-ordinated from our London office and shot across five continents.
We engaged with local crews around the world to capture footage of the winning entrants and the panel of judges. Rich and beautiful footage shot in locations such as Italy, South Africa and Iceland, to name but a few, make this a truly international celebration of photographic excellence. The resulting film beautifully portrays the personal stories, inspiration and passion of the photographers whose work is recognised through these awards.
