A TALENTED TEAM OF EXHIBITION CONTENT CREATORS

When we produce content for exhibitions, our main goal is to assist the curators and exhibition designers to tell the story of the exhibition as effectively as possible. Our talented and varied creative team will use their skill and creativity to produce content in a range of styles and using a range of techniques.

For many exhibitions we have created documentary content to enhance interpretation, but exhibition AV can go so much further. We create large scale image installations and soundscapes, animated explainers, historical re-enactments, time-lapse films, video mapping, entertaining interactives and much much more. Get in touch to discuss how we can help you.

A COLLABORATIVE VIDEO PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE

When working on exhibition content, we value the collaboration with the museum and gallery team. We will work with you to devise the best route from idea to delivery, in relation to both the process and the output itself. Our team will do what it takes to capture the best content, whether installing ourselves on Rainham marshes at 3am to capture the perfect sunrise or recreating a WWII Scramble with heritage aeroplanes.

For many productions we enjoy exploring wider collaboration possibilities. We often co-produce content with members of the community, as evidenced by our work in permanent galleries at the Science Museum,  Horniman Museum, the Imperial War Museum and more. Our team are all experienced at working in educational environments and bring their workshop experience to these productions to create stunning results.

TWO DECADES EXHIBITION VIDEO CONTENT PRODUCTION

Chocolate Films has been a leader in the field of museum and gallery exhibition content for over 20 years. We have worked with almost every major museum in London, plus museums in Scotland, Germany, Italy, the United States and the Middle East.

Our talented team are passionate about the sector. We have filmmakers with backgrounds in history, art history and curation among our team, and they bring their diligence and knowledge to your projects.

We understand how impactful good AV can have on the flow of an exhibition. Get in touch to find out how we can help you.

Reviews of our work

They had these silent films of people working with gold leaf that are absolutely mesmeric and that almost felt like an installation. It really is something to watch, I mean I stood there for quite some time staring...

Royal Collection Gold exhibition reviewed by Antonia Quirke, BBC Radio 4 's Saturday Review

"Dominating the room is a panoramic film showing the movement of the sun over a silvery river meander in Rainham marshes. It looks like a Cuyp painting, all milk-dense mist, a solitary plodding cow, reeds scissoring in the breeze. The ‘action’ here is the sky, which blooms mesmerically: first rosy gold, then violet, then a rich, ancient blue. Its soundtrack – birdsong and some other unidentifiable but bone-buzzingly deep noise – cast a spell from which I was reluctant to surface. "
